VR Patient Journey
This 360° video project was a pilot for a series of point of view training videos. The primary goal of the video was to highlight bad practice through the point of view of a hospital patient to students studying nursing.
To best utilise the immersive element of the project, careful consideration was used throughout the production to avoid the video becoming a novelty. The viewer must look around the scene to follow the action, however background action allows for distractions a patient may face. The further add to the immersiveness, a dynamic soundscape was created that further immerses those viewing with headphones on.
Working with academics from the University of Lincoln, I directed the project with a crew comprised primarily of students.
